I wonder where the time went.
Gardens are finished and being covered over
with fresh snow of late fall wonder.
Cool nights and warm fires,
Exchanged our warmth of summer.
I am ready for some quite nights,
with the dainty flakes of winters frost.
A good book and blankets tucked,
We find ourselves in winter.

Loved the poem you shared and the picture. Hate the thought of oncoming winter but I'm happy that I'm retired and can "snuggle in" for the duration. I do wish Autumn would stick around a bit longer--I love the cool, not cold nights and the lovely Indian Summer days.
